I wasn't expecting much, given the vintage and price. But this is a classic Oregon Pinot. Dirt, leather and the darkest fruit. Soft, integrated tannins. Enjoyed.

For a vintage that most critics touted as one to drink within 5 years, this and most of the 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs I have recently tasted are more than holding their own. This wine is very nice now, and should hold until 2019.
