Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • On the nose a light petroleum is apparent, and a Scandinavian pine smell (like the smell of cool moist pines needles in the early summer morning). Wow, this is getting a bit surreal...... sorry. But this is the best description. Riesling for sure (tasted blind). After a few seconds there is some red grape fruit. A delicate tingly sensation on the tongue, although not quite frizzante. This is a wine that will evolve over the next couple of years for sure. Good balance between acidity and sweetness, with a slight tilt towards the acidity. Medium long on the palate. I liked the acidity, since I had this with assorted cheeses. It was particularly good with a camembert and a mature gorgonzola.
