This vintage the wine consists of 10% Cab. Sav. a bit Syrah and for the rest Monastrell. Mainly dark fruits in the bouquet. On the palate dark fruits, vanilla, a touch of sweetness balanced by good acidity and good tannin and bitterness. A well structured wine. Early maturity now and will drink well over the next 3+ years.

Very dark and earthy nose. Really came into its own after being open 3 hours. Taste was tart blackberry, a little spice, black tea and fine tannins. Intriguing though not really memorable.

Very good, ripe and dark monastrell enjoyed with good friend and CT wine buddy neighborbill earlier this week while some after dinner pool. Nose of dark fruit, tar and blackberry with primary flavors of moist earth, dark cherry and some licorice and smoke on the aftertaste. A very reasonable QPR at this price point, do recommend this wine.
