  • Popped and poured. Interesting, but a little odd. There's a midpalate density here, which is usually good, but the flavors are strange and muddled to the point of being off-putting. The flavors are hard to pin down because they're so unlike most white wines. There's some dill, sage, honey, and a kind of pickle juice thing that's turning me off. It's labelled as "semi-sweet", but it's a little closer to the dry side of that. Decent acid, medium body. Very interesting from the standpoint of trying a varietal Furmint from a Aszu producer I love, but I can see why they normally treat these differently. Worthwhile experiment for $12 for a Tokaji lover.
