Most recent tastings have been 2011, 2015, and now in 2020. As exceptional as ever, maybe even better now that there are more secondary flavors. Fruit as present as ever with acidity and structure from oak providing the strong backbone. If this was a Super Tuscan it would command $100+ a bottle.

The aromas are outwardly volcanic, but also really lusciously fruited, with tons of blueberries. Absolutely delectable and voluptuous. Lush body in the mouth with nice integrated acid showing similar fruit (blueberry) tones. Some sharp tannins exist, but they are not excessive in quantity; just the perfect balance to maintain the fruit that it has. There's also a strong note of volcanic ash on the finish that balances that blueberry tone so wonderfully. This is by far the best bottle of this I have had. It is certainly a little simple and singular in complexion, but what it does is gorgeous. I'll say drink my last bottle soon, but this will hold for a little bit... this may evolve into a more interesting place, but it feels so perfect I don't want to lose this spot. So maybe I'll wait just a year or two before the next bottle so that it's not too fresh in my memory.

Might be a bit past it’s prime, but still drinkable. All secondary flavors of earth and soft spice. Moderate length finish with soft acidity.
