  Deep straw in color. Those of lanolin, pit fruit, peach, and a hint of banana. Taste of pith, lanolin, ripe peach and apricots. A pleasant bitterness that balances the slightly noticeable residual sugar. Lovely balance and mouth feel. Delightful wine that will probably gain some complexity in the near term but in a great drinking window now. Drink now and over the next seven years.

  This bottle is excellent right now, offering a deft counterpoise between acidic tartness and well-integrated, evolver residual sugar - reminiscent of a very good, mature MSR wine but with more body, corresponding to the higher ABV. Flavors shade towards the predictable pit-fruit tones but, again, with a very deft touch. Served very cool, a really nice aperitif or pairing with a salty starter (or cheese course). A slight candied quality, which - speaking as one who generally dislikes sweet wines - works only to the good.
