PnP from fridge and enjoyed w/spicy Thai food at lunch. Clear, medium lemon in color, fading to a watery rim. The nose is clean, showing off youthful, med intensity aromas of honeydew melon, sweet peach, and ripe pear, along with a slight spicy zing on the backend. The palate shows off a seemingly dry wine (although comes across with a suggestion of RS here), med in body and med in alcohol (listed 13.5%). The flavors are med/med(-) in intensity and echo the palate with peach, melon, lychee, some honey, and finishing with a nice peppery spice. The wine has a med acidity, certainly not flabby at all, and a med/med(+) length finish that has a spicy and peppery quality with some nice minerality as well. This is a very good quality wine, and alas, my last bottle. Stratus does a nice job with their whites and even many of the red varietals in their marginal growing climates. It really is in a great drinking window right now, and will potentially stay there for another 1-2 years, but it is not a wine meant to improve with longer term aging.

Pale yellow in color, 13.5% abv, Niagara Gewurtztraminer. The nose offers up sweet peaches, lychee, wet gravel, and peppery spice, that is very fragrant and typical of Gewürztraminer. The palate is med-full bodied, gorgeous white fruits, sweetness/honey, a nice acid profile, and lush/velvety tannins that lead into a med-long, mineral laden finish. This wine is voluptuous, exciting, complex, and makes me smile. It will last another several years, and is a superb example of this varietal.

Light yellow wine, fast forming legs. Notes of apricot and granny Smith apples on the nose, with a mineral streak and hazelnut. Flavors echo the aromas, with a bit of a sweetness seeming apparent on the mid palate and finish, which I did not notice in the past. The finish is very pleasant, medium length, and has some minerality apparent. This wine went quite well with our Italian wedding soup. Should drink well for another year or so.
