"Wines that don't suck" (Chicago, IL): #19-05, 7% abv. From half bottle. Served double blind, and correctly identified as a Rheingau BA from the early 2000s. Lots of stone fruit and floral elements, but not enough acidity, and while there are some slight botrytis elements, there isn't enough here for a full-fledged TBA, nor is there the requisite spice and acidity you would get in an eiswein. Still, amply delicious, especially with a tasting of four mangoes (yes, the Alphonso won, huge surprise there).
