Dark purple color. Somewhat tight on the nose with some peppery spice and black cherry notes coming through but not much else. Tart black fruits on the palate with some bitter dark chocolate and pepper. Medium+ acid and grippy tannins. Not really a casual sipping wine but paired nicely with a grilled dry aged NY strip. Plenty of structure to continue aging but definitely needs food if drinking now.

Deep ruby red with a purplish hue. Quite floral on the nose with some blueberries, currants, damp cigar box and light all spice. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. A touch of acidity on the palate with flavors of cedar, anise, currants and herbal. Long finish. Drink till 2023.

My first pure PV varietal! Very dark and with some sediment (some chalky). An earthy/flowery nose that was dominated by blueberries and spice (more of the latter). Fine tannins and not acidic at ALL. Very smooth all the way around. I don't have much to compare to but I wasn't expecting that from a Petite Verdot. The chalky sediment along with the fine tannins created an interesting chewy mouthfeel, especially from the last glass. I would guess the fruit is starting to fade, so drink up I say - I quite enjoyed this!

Light nose. Delicate petals. Medium bodied with a light metallic finish.

Drank over three days. Robust, tasty, simple wine with nice acid and young tannins, long ripe finish.
