Just amazed at how great this was for a 13 year old California Chard. Turned very Burgundian during those years. Much more enjoyable than when they were young.

Amazing bottle of wine, given that it's a Cali chard 12 years out from vintage. We first had this wine at the beach restaurant of the Four Seasons on the Big Island back in 2007, where we were celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary. Now, 10 years later, we enjoyed it with great food at The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, this time celebrating my parents' 60th anniversary. Everything in the wine was quite in order. The bouquet was lovely. Yes, on tasting some of the fruit had softened considerably, but it was still very much there. There was no oxidation, and no flattening, just pure elegance. Far Niente is one of the few Cali producers that I know of who produce a chard that cellars this nicely for this protracted period of time. Thank you.

This wine aged very gracefully. Dark almost amber color, we drank over 3 days and each day it was a different wine, and a very good wine. The wine was deeper and richer from when it was young, lost acidity but was still great. Drank alongside a 2013 FN Chard - holy different wines.

The wine is aging nicely but it is not yet showing much nuttiness. Huge body and fruit, still has plenty of acidity and finish is smooth and buttery.
