  • If you can look past the deep golden hue which, given the vintage didn't sound any alarm bells for me, there is a very good wine here. Tasted alongside a 97 perrieres from the same producer and made for a fascinating comparison. This wine was a touch fresher, a bit leaner and seemingly had a more acidic spine than the perrieres. Overall I probably preferred the Perrieres due to it's volume and overall depth of flavour even though it looked slightly more advanced than this wine. Got both of these for a bargain price and ticked all the boxes even exceeded expectations.
