(Bodegas Mas Alta Priorat La Creu Alta) Opaque purple red violet color; appealing, fresh, lifted, tart blackberry, tart berry, ripe black fruit nose with hints of tart orange; tasty, fresh, tight, tart black fruit, tar, herbs palate; needs 2 years; medium-plus finish 92+ points (60% Carignan, 40% Garnacha; 80-100 yr old vines; 80% new French oak)

Nase mit dunkler Frucht, am Gaumen komplex mit Holz und Tanninen gut integriert, dicht. Verschlossen. Nicht sicher, wohin die Reise geht.

Ripe, concentrated, voluptuous, full bodied. Lots of ripe red fruit. Plums, dried cherries, ripe white peaches, fig marmalade. Very well integrated - no rough edges, well balanced, even keel and at a perfect spot now. Great wine!

On the nose: loads of fruit, plums and lightly smokey spices, oak. On the palette: nice balanced acidity by dark voluptuous jammy fruit without being cooked, long finish, chewy. Not overly complex; it's more bold and "in your face". Soft tannins.
Decant it, it needs the air and will soften up quite a bit in the decanter.
