This wasn't weird in any way (cf. my previous notes), just a big ripe riesling with a beautiful saline acidity. I am not used to bottle variation in GG riesling, so I assume that I (as a taster) must be undergoing some variation since my perception of this wine varies so much. After two days in the fridge, it was even better, rich, powerful and well-structured.

This seemed more weird than the recent bottle, especially in terms of bitterness. The weirdness went well with white asparagus though. Even weird riesling is good with food. Drunk over two days so had all chances to become more reasonable, but didn't.

Much more forthcoming and straightforward than the 2010 Kühling-Gillot Kirchenstück drunk recently. This is deep yellow, rich and neither extraordinarily acidic nor overly alcoholic; at 13 % it is actually lower than most other vintages. It might also be less complex but gives a lot drinking pleasure; I nearly drank the whole bottle.

My best Frauenberg so far. More "crisp" and vital than usual. However, still not near as crisp as I would prefer it to be. Fruit (mostly bold exotic flavours) and herbs (quite a lot of dill) seemed a bit plump and age-advanced. Body was rather soft for a 2010 Riesling GG. Maybe the bottle ... or I just can't help myself and simple don't understand the execellence of B-S Rieslings!?!

BYOW tasting (Chris Home): Colour: Ripe golden colour Nose: Very ripe aromas like papaya, candied mango, apricot, lemon peel and some honey. Palate: Medium bodied, citrus & a "stony" component, nice saltiness, medium+ acidity, medium finish.
We tasted this blind and I had never thought that this wine is from 2010. Very ripe nose for a GG from this vintage.
