  • Purchased at the winery. No clue if we kept this too long, but I couldn’t drink it. Prior notes were spot on...hugely floral, incense, exotic spice, sweet, fruit. No tannin, nice acidity. But, this was such an odd wine to me....hated to pour it out. Thankfully it was only a 375.

  • Good dessert wine. Would agree with others very syrupy and barely sense of alcohol. Heavy plum and raisin, thick, tasty, beautiful color in glass. Enjoy it now.

  • Huge floral (red rose?) nose, exotic spice. What I imagine of an opium den. Turkish coffee. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, soft, plush. Not a touch of harshness, sharpness. No tannin or alcohol obvious. Brown butter aroma lurking in back. Golden raisin. Complex. With this intensity, I don't see this being fragile but I lack experience with the bottling. Hugely satisfying. This is a gorgeous desert wine that shares some qualities with Recioto Valpolicella and some similar pairing flexibility and range. It doesn't need to pair though, it speaks for itself well. One of my top two wines of a good night of wines ('07 Cayuse)

  • Nose that reeks of both Darjeeling and Earl Gray tea, with just a touch of raisin. On the palate, a delicate sweetness reminiscent of honey, blueberries, and maple syrup, with a Belgian waffle vibe and hints of smoke and bacon. Really like breakfast in a glass, harmonious and easy drinking, sumptuous but thought-provoking, the alcohol just barely evident. Wondrous concoction, I never stop being amazed by the uniqueness that is Ca'Togni. Ready to drink now. 93-94
