  • Not bad, but not special. Looking for the mythical "Eighth" Cuvee, I mistakenly ordered this from a LWS that "forgot" to specify which Cuvee they were selling (note that these Bedrock cuvees are non-vintage). Not one to turn down an adventure, I grabbed the corkscrew only to find that this is a twist-off. Trying to hide that inconvenient fact from my twist-off-hating-wife, I poured a glass for each of us to "compliment" chicken stew over egg noddles (not sure anyone has every paired chicken stew with any wine before, but...). This is tart with notes of sour cherry and other bright red fruit on the front end, somewhat like a young grenache. That said, it apparently has everything but grenache blended in. Makes for a pleasant but forgettable Cuvee.

  • See that they changed the bottle shape for this release. I actually like htis shape better.

PnP the other night, and just sipped after dinner. Really liked this wine. Round and lush, fruit forward without being over the top. Easy drinker that is not too complex, but is very tasty and succeeds at whatit sets out to do. Would be a crowd pleaser at a party. Great QPR at <$12, and something I will definitely seek out and buy again..

  • Popped and poured. Lots of wood/spicy notes, soft body with some fruit, hard finish. Alcohol peeks through in spots. Not inspired to seek it out again but a decent wine for middle of the week sipping. Tannins are still present, but acid is dropping out. Would drink now.

  • Solid every day or party wine. Has a fruit profile like a zin; probably from the petite syrah content. Held a tasting of 5 different $12 - $15 reds to select a party wine, and this was ranked either 1 or 2 by all 12 people.
