Dark purple color--almost PS dark. Bright fruity nose--that surprises me, a bit--with some vanilla. Dark fruit--currant, blackberry-- with a suggestion of anise on the tip of the tongue. Still a lot of sturdy tannin. 👍 Slight hint of tart acid on the edges of the tongue. Just a terrrific wine

This is a beautiful representation of a Howell Mountain Cab. The enticing color is a deep dark purple. Big sexy aromatics of dark fruit, cedar and herbs du Provence. The palate has rich, elegant and well integrated flavors of what the nose is telling you. The dry lush finish goes on forever. We enjoyed this wine with our roasted root vegetables buckwheat grain bowl.
Seems like we hit this bottle near its peak, but certainly can continue drinking great for a few more years.

Decanted and enjoyed over 3 hours. Floral & berry aromas, although very subtle. Dark berries, tar, spice & expresso flavors - still drinking nicely. One bottle remaining, I will wait a few years to revisit.

A little brown on the edge, little fruit left, past its prime. Drink up.

Pure mountain fruit. Extracted but smooth and fresh. Long length and pleasant finish.
