Gevrey Night: The oldest of the different bottles and it was the one that was the harder, still tannic and not open. Quite strange to be honest, since you could feel the quality, but at the opposite side of the 00 Lignier. It went well with the cheese flight though.

Dinner at La Chassagne (La Chassagne, Chassagne Montrachet): Quite polishd on the nose. Gives the impression of being quite slick. Slightly high-toned. Positive attack but quite a tight, lean palate that dioesn't appeal to me. Really rather quite hard work. Closed? Not sure, just too tannic, lean and.mean. *** if you like that kind of thing but I wouldn't bother. Others liked it more.
