Austrian Riesling 2010; 9/14/2011-12/31/2011: Nicely perfumed, floral, with a lovely Chablis-like steeliness and minerality. Good grip on the palate, honeyed, with lemon and lime, and a pleasing austerity. Good finish. Clean and bright pale-gold appearance.

Sweet ripe, lime leaf and pith. Stunning mineral precision in the aromas. Palate shows dry and nice level of ripeness. First impressions of petrol and the 'perm.' But that all quickly fades to more lime fruits. hours in, this wine really starts to drop it's pants, getting into peach fruit on the palate. the acid starts to feel like it's backing off in the face of a real round palate for riesling of this quality. i'd love to see the %RS vs g/l of acid. really stunning.

Day 2 - marzipan, yellow apples and minerals on the nose. Velvety texture, lots of fruit on the palate, delicate acidity. Still youthful.
