Similar to the bottle I had last year but with an hour plus vinturi decant. It does make a difference in the rating.. The nose was all dark berries. The palate was blueberry, blackberry, cigar, wood and hints of dried sage. Finish was moderate to long.
Similar to the bottle I had early last month but with a pnp instead of an hour plus vinturi decant. It does make a difference in the rating.. The nose was all dark berries. The palate was blueberry, blackberry, cigar, wood and hints of dried sage. Finish was moderate to long. The flavors were all the same but not as vibrant. Another factor could also be that in May it was a stand alone wine and last night it followed a 95 point 2013 Realm Farella

We opened and decanted through a vinturi and let sit for an hours. The nose was all dark berries. The palate was blueberry, blackberry, cigar, wood and hints of dried sage. The finish was moderate to long. This was the first time I had ever tried this wine and I was impressed. We served it with spinach stuffed chicken breasts.

Pop and pour while corona camping. Served slightly warmer than usual. The wine is still drinking perfectly right now. Color is still deep garnet. Big heavy with subtle floral notes. Delicious wine off spring mountain. My last bottle of the 09. Glad I have saved one for ten years. Well worth it.

Still quite intact. Dry, with hints of cinnamon and leather. Opened up over an hour or so and I think the wine still has some time left in bottle.
