Drank over 2 nights. PNP on night 1. Brown/red color. On nose, cigar ash, dried cherry, prune and touch of sweet cherry. Palate similar ex. Cigar ash but earthy, savory notes there as well. Full body, high acidity, tannins integrated and long finish. Drink now for my palate but it was fine on night 2. 91-92 range.

Dark garnet red, generous floral and black fruit bouquet after an hour in the decanter, a hint of almond; big palate of juicy black plums and berries, rich texture, huge cocoa powder tannins a bit dominant alone but just magnificent with slow cooked pork. Absolutely beautiful food wine.

Medium garnet red with brick edges. More floral on the nose than the 2005 with some dried roses, lavender, spices and some black fruits. Heavy tannins (7/10) with well balanced acidity and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with some dried meats, dried black cherries and great finesse. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2026.

Initially the tannins were a little harsh and difficult the flavors in this wine. After about twenty minutes or so, the tannins softens somewhat and the wine really opened up. So well made and enjoyable.
