(Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-huge nose; burnt rubber meets cherry pie; a little cranberry action; a little sweetness; bigger & bolder; a little Bordeaux like with some a little nuanced earthiness mixed in; PALATE-the Oak Monster makes an appearance; this is over oaked for my palate; dry; the oak is considerable with the creaminess on the back-end and it really over takes the blackberry and mulberry flavors; not my cup of tea, but many who like Oak would like this wine; but this can easily be replicated for $8 bones; WS-89; GV-79

Full body dark red wine. Wine was disappointedly rough due to tannins no matter how long it was opened. Average finish. If more recent vintages are the same my conclusion is that there are better cabernet values for my taste.

Is this really 11 years old? Still deep colour, depth of which is reflected cassis fruit notes. What once was an oak bomb of a wine has integrated quite a bit but the oak is still fairly present
Still some grip to the wine too.
Blind I would have put this closer to a 2013 vintage.
Surprisingly my assessment is no rush to drink up yet tho not sure how this would evolve further.
