  • Medium gold with slight pink tints. Medium(+) aromas of yellow apples and butterscotch with slight hints of anise - moderate oak influence. Palate is explosive - much more complex than aromas would suggest. Stone fruit/ yellow apple/ melon and butterscotch. Medium/ medium(+) acidity with nice underlying minerality. Fantastic length of at least 30 seconds. This wine is really in a good spot right now, and may continue to improve.

  • At home on July 4th w Valerie, paired with sautéed scallops and grilled veggies. Been a couple years since I have tasted this, last bottle from a batch bought at release. I think the wine has gotten consistently better over the time I have had it.

From prior notes: "Citrus, green apple, melon, butterscotch, toast and French oak. Has retained a crisp minerality...grain and toast on the nose" Palate was elegant and expressive, silky texture along with an orchard fruit profile. In a really good spot right now, I would drink over the coming few years, not likely to get better.

One additional point, this drank much better as it warmed in the glass, a little air time and very slight chill seem optimal...great stuff

  • At home with a Provencal Cod baked in parchment, good pairing of flavors and texture with a tender fish entree. PnP, drank over 2 hours

Consistent with prior notes: "Citrus, green apple, melon, butterscotch, toast and French oak. Has retained a crisp minerality..." More complexity than I remember in the last bottle. Picked up notes of grain and toast on the nose with this one...drank from goblets only slightly chilled, better opportunity to pick up the nuance. In a good spot, should continue to improve.

  • At home with Valerie, had this with baked salmon (great pairing)...been a little while since we had this wine. AG wines are a sentimental favorite having visited the Domaine. Drank over 2 hours, really open nicely about 30 minutes in.

Citrus, green apple, melon, butterscotch, toast and French oak. Has retained a crisp minerality, suggesting it still has a very nice arc in front of it.

  • Opened for 11th anniversary at the Ritz. Nose of field herbs, lemony citrus, buttered toast and salt air. Flavors of slightly grilled lemon with hints of green melon and yellow apple, butter with a nutty grain component like couscous, thyme & other herbs, all balanced with a nice saline minerality. Was much better closer to room temperature vs fridge. Fantastic.
