Scent of baked lemons with mixed herbs, and a touch of fresh mango. In the mouth, this wine has reached the level of complete harmony in an understated elegant way. It provided a fine contrast to the food (baked cod with mashed potato, sweet potato and cellry root), but even more delight after dinner - appreciating every scent and drop. An outstanding wine for sure, and (obviously) my last bottle.

Sunday Lunch with Christiaan & Gerber & Spouses (Home): Mid green gold the bouquet is intense with thiols of boxwood, ammoniac and English gooseberry. The entry is penetrating with a crisp acid set against a glassy texture and linear shape that is packed with gooseberries, fresh herbs, pineapple and peach with a creamy underbelly. Lots going on the wine has a long, lemon-tinged finish and is really showing well right now.

Still light in colour, On the nose there's the obvious citrus, but more tellingly lanolin and apple cellar. In the mouth, it's got good fruit and viscosity and at the end there's a hint of apple pips. Fine aftertaste. An exscellent wine (My points have been revised downwards after the previous bottle to better reflect the mening of the general descriptors.)

I don’t drink enough white Bordeaux. All you can ask for, in a perfect spot right now.
