KYD #2.4: Lovely and fresh cherry/plum fruit with an elegant touch. It has retained its freshness and has a balanced structure. Lovely intensity! Beautiful wine!

An Epic Summer Wine Weekend - Year 2; 6/30/2023-7/2/2023 (Muskoka, Ontario, Canada): [Tasted Single Blind] This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is of stewed prune, iron, violet, vague touches of soy sauce, and muddy earth. The palate shows a fairly roasted profile with baked plums on entry. Tannin and acid are both medium minus. The finish closes on prune, tar and fennel. Nobody particularly liked this wine. We continued to follow it over 24 hours, but it never really came around. Hard to know if this was a poor showing or if this wine is just not a style our group cares for as the bottle condition was good, the fill high, and there were no obvious flaws.

Fantastic. After drinking an amazing 1996 not too long ago, this 1985 did not disapoint either. Very elegant, lots of garrigue notes with red fruits and touch of licorice. Earthy, tobacco. Lots of things going on. Not a big wine, especially for CDP. Again, a Burgundian style.

Chateauneuf Du Pape 1990 Horisontal (@Terkel): Some blackberry and the fruit still has some depth to it. The backbone is however a bit frail and the flavors are a bit hollow with a dominating alcohol presence. It does however collect itself a bit in the glass and it is overall still a wonderful and impressive wine

Leathery, minty, raspberry fruited, seamless and not showing its age, it was pretty magical.
