  • 59% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and % Petite Verdot
A brief decant, and mostly to separate the heavy amount of sediment in the bottle.
4 years since my last evaluation and showing its evolution. The nose shows medium-plus intensity aromas of cassis, mocha, suede, blackberry, blueberry, plum, herbs, tobacco, vanilla and light spice.
Acid remains intact on the palate, but the tannins have softened and faded significantly. Showing warmth on the back and moderate density across the mid-palate. Flavors show blueberry, blackberry, plum and vanilla that lead to mocha, sweet tobacco, leather, dried flowers, herbs and soft traces of baking spice.
Overall pleasant but just past its prime, Time to drink up! Cheers

  • Still going strong with plenty of life in the bottle. Tannins have settled and smoothed nicely with just a little bit of bite. Plenty of dark fruits, some leather and smoke.Went really well with the BBQ baby back ribs we paired with it.

  • Dark purple with a dark garnet rim. purple streaks form and fall slowly showing high viscosity, and medium plus concentration.
Dark cherry aromas with plum, blueberry and huckleberry are dense and intermingle with notes of graham cracker, violets, and spice.
Concentrated blueberry and dark cherry flavors include plum, blackberry, wood and vanilla accents. Sweet polished tannins and juicy acidity are enjoyable. The finish is long with tannins playing their role exceptionally well

  • Friends and I tasted this at the winery on 7/28/12. It had a big, ripe and jammy bouquet of blackberry, smoked meat, blueberry and spice aromas. The palate was dense, ripe, jammy and dry with flavors of blackberry, blueberry, plum, spice and minerals.
