  • Well, I just took a full case of this out of store which I’ve had there since release now it is 20 years old. So how was it? Lovely. Dark berry fruit with a touch of black tea in the background, earth, and floral scents. To taste, raspberry with a hint of beetroot. Sweetly fruited and quite full. Reminds me of Burgundy from the 60s and 70s. Light tannins but nothing to be bothered about. And absolutely peak maturity with that mix of fruit and aged elements. Should drink well for another 5-10 years is my guess. Develops well over a 2-3 hour decant.

  • Lifted floral aromatics and roasted dark fruits. Brick dust rim. Stewed dark fruit palate. Slightly tannic, acidic and medium body. Short finish. The stamp of the vintage seems to override the commune and producer.
