Lola Tasting: Blind Red 4 - Cote Rotie nose with a touch of florality and more funky mesquite like the Ogier. Pepper and black olive. Sweet smelling. The palate seems a bit tannic initially. Surprisingly youthful. Pretty good - a good tasting group wine, as I woudn't want more than about a glass or two of it.

Full bodied and opaque brownish red. Flavors of smoky coffee and toffee with a firm tannic backbone remaining. A very good representation of Cote Rotie, but I didn't love it. 9/01
