Deep golden orange color, this was overshadowed by vibrant Prum 2019’s and decades-old Donhof auslese, over Szechuan food on night one. But a day later. alone and with time to savor, this shown. Half dry, ripe tangerines, nectarines, grapefruit skin bite. Altogether delicious. Just goes to show that “A lot of really good wines come in second.”

Clear golden in color. Clean nose of apple, honey, and petrol. Off dry, med acidity, med body. Honey, floral, and Apple on palate. Nice finish. Great acidity still in wine, and still lots of fruit. Not for everyone, but I really enjoyed.

Medium-dark gold color. Mature nose of petrol and honey, with a fresh aroma of honeysuckle. The wine starts sweet on the palate but gains complexity as it moves towards the back of the mouth, finishing with a lingering aftertaste of Meyer lemon and some residual acidity. This is a little too off-dry to pair with main dishes, but would make a lovely digestif. Drinking just fine right now; I'd consume any more while there is still acidic support remaining.

Really nice. Not as sweet as the ‘92 Auslese we had next to it, but that’s to be expected from the Spatlese. Well Balanced.

Very much still alive. Maybe a bit further into the oxidation scale than the previous bottle but otherwise the notes match.
Dried apricot, peaches, smoke. Candied orange peel and a bit of bruised apple. Stunningly complex.
Finishes with intense citric acidity.
