Light, transparent gold in color with a very faint amber tinge. Semi-sweet, lightly minerally and oily. Just a hint of tart and dryness. Went well with comte cheese drizzled with Colorado wildflower honey.

The bouquet was soft and filled the senses with sweet florals, orange zest, ripe apricot and salty minerals. On the palate, brisk acidity and a medium body was met by light peach, hints of citrus and a grassy note toward the finish. This was not your run of the mill Pinot Grigio, and although it wasn't as refreshing as I expected, I still enjoyed it very much.

A Long Weekend of Burgs and a Few Others; 5/17/2012-5/20/2012 (Scottsdale, AZ): We have been drinking Venica's Friuliano and Sauvignon Blanc offerings with a lot of pleasure recently and the Pinot Grigio has just hit the shelves. This is a nice PG with bright flavors, good acidity, and fruit and body on the palate to provide a nicely balanced package. My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor

Darker than most PG with nice fruit and a stoney finish. Finish is a bit short.
