After 2-3 hrs in the decanter, this is just singing. Fresh tilled earth and clove (or baking spices) on the nose. Lovely palate- not quite as velvety as I might like- but still textured and rich but weightless thanks to the acidity. A little brown sugar shows up revealing its age. Not as mind blowing as the '96 Beaux Monts, but it's definitely cut from the same cloth. A wonderful pairing to duck, morels, and braised leeks.
