Did not reach the heights of some of the other wines of the evening (Stonessence, FM Collaboration Series V) but was still an outstanding wine. Smooth and lush, plenty of blackberry and blueberry with no tannic grip.

Consistent with our 2018 bottle in terms of appearance and palate, but this bottle had some barnyard funk that backed off after an hour in the decanter, but never quite went away. I don't mind a little bit, but this was verging on too much of a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how our last bottle shows in a few more years.

A ripe, rich, opulent, full-throttled syrah, fans of this style may enjoy this wine even more than I did! Great concentration, depth, and a velvety texture. Notes of black cherry, bacon fat, and hints of pepper and smoke.

P&P. 1st Night. Dark purple inky in the glass. Like black hole dark. The floral noses of these is really captivating. With the iron blood wet stone thing going. With more air/time, this will be lovely. Second glass and the wine has gained some weight, the mid palate is a bit plush blobby fruit pie, then some smoky oaky charred brightness sweeps the palate, some of that wet rock iron in the palate now. Some tight finish, this still well balanced, has big fruit and enough structure to keep going. This is not your new world Syrah, it is definitely easily confused w a Rhone. Am with Knicksfan on this one.

Not as impressive as previous bottles. No obvious flaws, but a bit one dimensional, and lacking in terms of complexity and texture.
