(Not a) birthday dinner (Hinsdale, IL): Much rounder and fatter in comparison to the Clos (which I preferred tonight), as this didn't have the same mineral cut and tension. A little weightier from the fruit, but despite the vintage, the fruit feels more yellow to me than anything else. Overall, still quite good, especially for a producer that I historically have had so much trouble understanding.

Pristine condition and color, purchased from Chamber Street Wines.
The wine was still ripping with acidity when it opened, perhaps a bit too much. Took a while to get into tune with the other elements, took about two hours where it felt like it was drinking at the peak. Still seems to have quite a bit of life left. Extremely enjoyable, despite no singular element sticking out.

FWSG tasting. 2 pours. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Apearance is clear, pale intensity, ywllow lemon colour going gold. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of chalky limestone + oyster shell minerality, green pear and nashi pear, iodine seawater, pure citrus lemon, white peach. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of lovely balanced ure citrus lemon, white peach, honeyed sweet nashi pears. Superbly long lingering finish with salty saline mineral + oyster shell and chalky limestone. Very good quality. Drinking at peak already.

Poured from 375ml. Luscious, rich and ripe, balanced with nice acidity. Very aromatic. This is in a really great spot right now.
