  • With some more time in the cellar this vintage is showing much better. Much more of a subtle fruit and tannin nose and the first taste showed a nice blending of the two. The heavy spice and tannins are much more toned down at this point. Nice drinker.

  • This is an okay pinot. It wouldn't be one I'd bring to a wine tasting but it's definitely one to enjoy as an everyday kinda pinot. Am on the fence if it's worth the bucks at this point. When I opened the bottle there there was little nose and was assuming it was just tight and would open up with time. Well, here it is the next day and it still has a restrained nose.
There are some subtle hints of cherry, maybe even a bit of sulfur which is reinforced upon tasting it. Full of spice and some tannins which are almost to the point of being overly abrasive. After a few minutes my mouth is still feeling the tannins and dryness.
I'm definitely laying my last bottle of this down for perhaps up to another year and see what happens.
