SLDS Decadence 2021: Melon and spice, honey and lime. Fresh, good lift and balance on the palate with medium persistence. Fruit profile is starting to round just slightly but still feels primary. Very nice, though the 2010 Kiedricher Grafenberg Trocken next to it showed the gap in class.

Similar to my previous note from December 2017, but the overall expression is a bit more muted and waxy, without the radiant fruit noted before. Probably just bottle difference, such a marked development in just seven months would be highly unusual. Lovely lemony freshness on the finish, well integrated acidity, lightish finish lacks a bit of precision.

Very similar to my previous note from August 2016, the development is limited, except for the decidedly more open fruit expression on the nose. Other than that, it continues to be a beautifully precise expression of terroir and vintage, with its cool and mineral core on the one hand and tension between fresh fruit and vibrant acidity on the other. Would need more complexity for a higher score. Completely ready, drink now - 2020.

Last of the lot. Tremendous show of age for the style. It seems to be closing on its drinking life, but still had good acidity and lively character even if it has lost a bit of its balance. An interesting and fun wine all around.

Probably just past it's prime, but a great final taste of this wine. Acid is a bit low now, but the quality is high.
