The mysteries of wine aging (2011 IPNC): Color brown garnet. Nose showing floral notes, a touch of alcohol then later some strawberry. Palate all secondary with salinity, soft mouthfeel, and longish finish. Drink up. I think nowhere to go but down.

The Eyrie Vineyards South Block Vertical 1975-2007 (McMinnville Grand Ballroom in McMinnville, Oregon): The nose is inviting and full of ripe fruit. It has a tart character to it, and it shows scents of ripe apples and strawberries. The apples and strawberries deliver on the palate, and the acidity is bright and clean from beginning to end. Some structure shows through on the mid palate, reminding me of seeds on the strawberries, and I get a bit of heat on the finish.
