Similar impression to jnewman77. Light color: red with brown hues. Immediately appealing nose which just doesn’t stop… Light weight; perfect balance. Added a little depth with air. Red fruit, softly appealing but still nice structure and acid. Opened 90 minutes ahead with short 30-minute decant.

This was another great bottle. Captivating nose with dried red berry fruits, forest floor, black tea, orange peel, violet, and just a hint of spice. Beautiful balance and supreme elegance on the palate. Excellent.

Delicious fully mature Eyrie; the color is translucent; nose is beautiful mature pinot with dried red berry fruit that is still relatively fresh, forest floor, mushroom, black tea, orange peel, dried violet, and a hint of iodine. The palate is like pure silk, just wafts across your palate like a weightless ballet... finishes with surprising depth and lasts.

($35) Brown and orange in the glass with a high degree of translucence. Orange and cinnamon nose along with earthy copper. Acidic on the palate. Hard. Vague fruit. I don't care for this wine. It did pair very well with my slow-roasted salmon with pesto, but without the salmon it was worthless. One man's wine is another man's battery acid. I'm glad I only paid $6 for this.

($8) Browning translucent rose colors in the glass. Very pale and translucent. Mushrooms, spices, barnyard and black cherry nose. The fruit seems to gain strength with a little time in the glass. Moderate acidity. Okay, but I would prefer something a bit more lush.
