Much more evolved, it is more complex than it`s 10 year younger counterpart just tasted prior and in even greater balance; this has moved from a stately elegance to a royal magnificence.

At Pacific Time, Design District, Miami. Charlie & Maria Frumkin's wine which they obtained directly (years ago) from their buddy Jim Clendenen. It was a little warm on arrival, so we chilled it a bit, while drinking my 2001 Peter Michael Belle Cote. This showed depth, balance, and weight, and has evolved much better than the Peter Michael. It uses the same Grape formula as Corton-Charlemagne, and apparently Jim C wanted to call it Charlemagne, but the powers that be wouldn't let him, so he named it for Charlemagne's wife, HILDEGARD. This drinks like a Burgundy Grand Cru at 10 years. If Charlie has anymore left, I want to try it head to head with my 1999 Bouchard Corton-C(which Clive Coates gave 19 or 20/20 to.) I think this might win. A deft wine with great balance, acidity, and complexity at 10 years of age.
