Dark purple color; opaque. 2008 is generally acknowledged as an outstanding vintage for Oregon Pinot Noir. There is nothing outstanding about this wine IMHO--just average at best.

Blasé! Boo!!! This was on sale for $23+ at Sprouts, which specializes in $10 wines. Reading the label I was sucked in by an old family history of winemaking in CA, and this is a Willamette Valley Pinot, so I gave it a try. Nice color, but something fishy on the nose. And something off on the mouth - not good. Online I saw several reviewers express that it improves with a longer decant, one specifically stating 2 hours. I finshed the bottle one evening over more hours than that and did not notice improvement. It paired well with quesadillas, so it would be an OK dinner wine with spicy foods, but not a wine for enjoying on its own.

Food-friendly but otherwise unremarkable wine. Consumed it with rotisserie chicken, rosemary potatoes and corn salad.
