The Verticals Tasting at La Paulée 2015 (Colicchio & Sons, New York): Not quite as saturated as the'11. Some wood present. Less plush than the younger wine but strong acidity and soil come through. Excellent prospects for this, but I preferred the 2011. Maybe that confuses the overall potential of the 2 wines over time.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Lush, power and then some more power balanced with elegance. Blackberry and blueberry aromas with espresso and summer flowers. Same long, persistent fruit on palate, incredibly alluring, with great structural components.

Domaine Tasting at Olivier Bernstein (Burgundy, France): From barrel at the Domaine. Wine was going through malo. Dark red fruits. Coffee, cocoa, smoke, savory herbs. Great intensity. Fantastic elements; should be an outstanding wine.

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Colicchio & Sons - New York NY): Tasted in 11/10/09 vertical, brief note. Dense, nuanced black fruit on nose and palate with great spice and textures. Very generous in every regard, even if not fully forthcoming today. Needs time.
