This was a nice fairly dry, or perhaps semi-dry, rose. Surprisingly fruity for a mostly dry wine. This wine was also reasonably priced, unlike many of their reds.

I've been following this winery for almost 10 years now. The Mariposa has been experimental--sometimes a bit sweet, sometimes very dark, sometimes a bit sparkling. This one hits the mark. Perfect pink color. Sweet strawberries on the nose. A nicely balanced acidity with just a bit of earth on the palate. If you poured this for me blind, I would think it was a nice Provecal rose. Really well done. Nice to see Chrysalis find their stride on this one.
