  • The easiest way for me to describe this wine is through an analogy. You meet a hot chick at a bar late one night and have a brief but intense conversation with her. She gives you her number with the expectation of going out next week. Unfortunately for you, you now have this week of huge anticipation and build up. The night finally arrives and the dinner couldn't have gone better--she's funny, smart, gorgeous--everything you are looking for. Things progress over an after dinner drink and you now find yourself back at your place getting lucky. It should be the capper of a great night but instead it's one of tremendous disappointment as everything is all off kilter and awkward. There is no chemistry between you two and that is exactly how I felt after drinking this wine. A friend raved about it, which led up to a couple weeks of anticipation on my part. The wine looked good and smelled good but there just wasn't any chemsitry. No zing, no oomph. Don't get me wrong, it's a very well made wine--technically sound--just didn't do it for me. Anyone else ever have this experience? 87pts.

  • Soft pear and quince scents and flavors with a nice floral edge. I was really impressed with the wines staying power, and natural tasting acidity, definitely would purchase again at $14.
