This was a Magnum drank over two days. Cork when removed on Day 1 was crumbly. But nose showed bright fruit not like a nearly 20 year old wine. On taste with no decant was also bright, fresh, slightly acidic, still tannic and well integrated. Not tasting like a typical Cab Franc. But delicious and extremely well made. Similar notes on Day 2. Fantastic!

14.5% alcohol. On the nose there is a suggestion of rubber, along with raw oak, cedar, and variety characteristics of violets, pencil lead, and dry herbs. Slightly leafy and astringent. Muddy flavors. This is perhaps the best showing for this yet, but it is not every going to be a great wine.

($25) Translucent at the rim with a little clearing. Some tawny shades mixed with dark rosy hues. Right out of the bottle - smells slightly hard with some stemmy pencil lead but its light in relation to the mineral and blueberry fruit. Hint of older oak in the form of cedar. In the mouth, medium to full bodied, moderate acidity and a longish finish of raspberries. Spending a little more quality time with it, I'm thinking it smells a bit green and shows a bit of excess alcohol along with some licorice and menthol. Strange wine that left me alternating between a smile and a frown.

This wine is still good, but I would recommend drinking it soon and suspect it was better a couple of years ago.
