  From magnum. Vibrant, reddish dark purple. nose of blackcurrant and blackberry with some leather and tobacco providing a backbone. Sharp black pepper on the back of the nose and perhaps also a little eucalyptus; big. A big, rich, spicy mouthful dominated by mixed black fruits. Still big tannins: unsure whether they indicate more time is needed or that the wine is growing out of balance. Spirity, spicy, dry long finish. Very, very good and I imagine it benefited from being in magnum.
