  Lemon, slight green tints. Citrusy nose, with salt laden breeze n slight herbal aspect. Palate mirrors nose with citrus and briny minerality. Reminiscent of Santorini flavour profile without razorsharp acidity or depth.

  This also made an impression on me at Dionysia 2011 (but not as much as the 2002 Merlot). Now tasted at the winery 31/8/2011. Peloponessian Assyrtiko from organic grapes. Light lemon. Medium intensity nose of citrus fruit & blossoms later a hint of underripe peach, granny smith apples and salty minerality (the vineyard is a few kilometres from the coast). Medium body, flavours of citrus fruit, granny smith apples, again underripe peaches and salty minerality on the palate too. Medium + acidity and a good length on the finish. This isn't Santorini by any stretch of the imagination and I don't know how well it will age but it is a nice mainland version.
