I've always had a rule of thumb that said "do not age Argentinian wines", and I just found out it was wrong. I found a couple bottles of old Argentinian wines during a trip to Bariloche and decided to give it a chance, since it was not expensive, it really paid off. This was just great. Medium garnet colour with brownish rims, intense and complex aromas. Perfectly round on the palate, soft tannins, fully mature. A long finish rarely found in new world wines.
