Enjoyed over 2 nights. Medium red color with clear meniscus. Cranberry, red currants and wet earth on nose. On palate, red currants, cherry, tart cherry on palate with medium acidity, integrated tannins and medium finish. Was better with air. 90+/- Best of 4 bottles - nice QPR and this has aged well.

PNP. Blackish red color with no sediment. Black cherry, tobacco, graphite on nose. On palate, black cherry, dried cherry and touch of green tobacco. Medium body / finish, medium+ acids with well integrated tannins.. Paired well with turkey burgers.
Enjoyed this and excellent QPR - would buy again given price. Improvement over last bottle from ~ 4 years ago. This has aged well and should go a few more years at least. 90+/-

Reddish purple with brown tint. Some spice on the nose. Dry, somewhat tart, Raspberry with a very fresh edge. Lacks balancing fruit. Mid palate savory elements, medium long finish.

{cork} Plummy/raspberry notes and rich. Rather new world in style, with plenty of ripe if rather coarse red fruits and some coconut oak. Soft gritty tannins combine with lowish acidity in a warm, medium length finish of a wine, perhaps showcasing the Bordelais’s attempts to compete with the wider world while accepting price cuts are inevitable. Quality looks a bit thin though…this isn’t something I’d have to think too much about…

delicious and interesting wine and a great value too. drank this alongside the mediocre patton valley 2008 pinot and was reminded of just how many quality wines in the $12-$16 range bordeaux produces.
