  • This wine is drinking quite young. Firm tannins, bright cherry and berries. A little smoke gives it some real interest. Definately needs to pair with food right now, but in a couple years should mellow. Don't get me wrong, I liked it.

  • I really liked this wine. As most Chilean Carmenere goes, this one is on the mild side with those flavors and aromas of black tea and tree root. As a matter of fact, if you closed your eyes, and disregarded the inherent earthiness, you might consider this wine as Californian, in a good way. Very rich dark color. The nose is refined with deep dark cherry and blackberry, with some typical earthiness. There is a smoothness to the fruit, that is influenced by some pretty serious oak, but it works. Big mouth feel with nice viscosity. A minimum of those secondary hard to describe flavors. Balanced. minimum tannins. Maybe a little sweet. Fruit dominated finish. Nice.
