In 2017 I said I'd drink my other bottle (this one) soon, only I didn't until now. I am glad too: this is much more enjoyable to me now. It has transformed quite a bit. I pretty much agree with the last taster. What was smoky and meaty before is pretty much gone, tannins are fine, and there is good acidity. It does benefit from decanting a fair amount. For me it started to settle in after an hour. The body is still medium, but it is more in balance with fresh acidity, and light tannins. Red cherry fruit (and berries, yes last taster), light chalky notes, and very light spice. Nice clean length too. Before it definitely needed meat IMO. Now after ample airing it is pleasant on its own, or with cheese, or again with meat, etc. I'll buy again and plan on sitting on them, at least for my taste.

Last and best of 12 bottles. Still requires air to smooth down and to get open (2 hours or more), more elegant than last bottle, red berries, plum and first signs of tertiary notes, on the palate fresh, medium to full bodied and long finish. Very good now but no hurry to drink, will hold for an additional 4 to 6 years. Superb price to quality relation.

Decanted an hour before dinner. Very nice nose with plum and leather, on the palate good but it lacks a bit in concentration to balance the tannin. Medium finish, slightly drying. Better than two years ago, but not sure if it will improve with further aging but I don't give up.
