Third bottle from the case. This is showing very young, still reductive with matchstick and birchwood. After a decant and some time opens up a bit. Very intense, a big and bold wine. Archetypical white burg with lemon, vanilla, butter, apple, white flowers etc. Well made and balanced despite the big structure. Lacking a bit of detail perhaps. Still primary. Good lenght to the finish.
First bottle of this back in 2019 was in a perfect spot, the second one this summer was too advanced and this third one is too young. You just never know…

A bit advanced for its age. Not badly poxed, but not as fresh as it should have been. Air helps and there is good depth and detail but lacking a bit of energy and freshness. Still nice but far from the level of previous bottle.

Dinner at George’s patio on last night before Covid-19 second shut down. Very enjoyable. See notes from August 2019. At its prime now and I do not think it is getting any better.

Stored in cold cellar. Straw colour. Delicious bouquet! Still quite young . Will keep and improve. Depth, well balanced, minerality, some complexity. Good acidity. White burgundy as it should be

Dinner at Scaramouch. This one is coming along beautifully. White flowers, peach, apple and minerals on the nose. Intense yet delicate palate, lime and green apple and long finish. Approaching prime now.
