  disappointing for the price, very alcoholic and lacking in flavor when first opened, became a little better with time but still not good. (Retail $100-125) Bad start to the new year.

  Upon opening, this was a monolithic bottle of alcohol. Just nothing there. Maybe a little Elmer's glue on the nose, a wall of black, and alcohol. It was slightly better with dinner, but never rose above serviceable. After dinner, kind of back to the wall. I wonder if I would have ever enjoyed this. Maybe there was more fruit in the beginning of it's life and it would have been a hedonistic delight. I would be shocked if this improves with time. However, it might be worth the risk, as there is not much enjoyment to be had right now. Drinking this reminds me of the steroids era in baseball. I could go further with the metaphor but suffice to say it's a period of time best forgotten.
